The Partners
The brand
A visual identity built from scratch
Melody came with a book and a vision. She left with a color system, a custom cocktail illustration, a merch line with "You Are Qualified" totes and tees, branded posters, and signage that felt like a world she had always lived in. The palette -- teal, navy, lemon, sand, rose -- was built from the emotional register of the book itself, not just what looked nice in a room.
The space
A corridor of testimony before the party began
The outdoor patio wasn't arrival space -- it was a directed emotional journey. Testimony posters on easels lined the path inward, each one a named woman's story, each one an invitation to feel the weight of what this book was actually about before guests ever sat down. The balloon arch wasn't decoration. It was the gateway that made the transition from outside to inside feel like crossing a threshold.
The craft table
Word-of-mouth infrastructure disguised as a craft station
Guests painted postcards in brushstroke textures inspired by the book cover. The back of each card was pre-printed with Melody's QR code and postage was provided. Every finished card was both a personal note and a book recommendation walking out the door in someone's hands. The station wasn't an activity -- it was a distribution strategy that felt like an act of love.
Director's note
"Every room we designed told guests where they were in Melody's story before anyone spoke a word. The outdoor corridor primed them. The indoor warmth held them. The craft table sent them home with something to give away. Design isn't decoration -- it's the architecture of how people feel."

What Gather built
When Melody came to us, she had a manuscript and a moment. We gave that moment a world to live in.

02
Merch Design
Tote bags and tees designed from scratch to test audience interest and extend the book's message beyond the room.
03
Custom Cocktail Illustration
Commissioned original artwork for "Melody's Gift" -- the signature cocktail of the evening -- with branded signage at the bar.
04
Venue Layout + Traffic Flow
Designed the full spatial sequence: outdoor arrival, testimony corridor, indoor transition, station placement, and program pacing.
05
Vendor Management
Coordinated photographer, videographer, caterer, DJ, balloon artist, and craft station lead. Served as the single point of contact across all teams.
06
Art Direction + Print Design
Designed all printed materials: event posters, testimony easel graphics, interviewer cue cards, author notecards, balloon color assignments, and art decor documents.
07
Program + Experience Flow
Built the minute-by-minute run of show, the guest journey arc, and the creative engagement strategy -- including the postcard station as a built-in distribution mechanism.
08
International Launch Framework
Developed a full ambassador toolkit for watch parties in 3-5 countries: content package, decor guide, MC scripts, postcard templates, and post-event follow-up system.
09
Interviewer Cue Cards
Wrote and designed the question cards used by the evening's interviewers -- ensuring the on-stage conversation carried the same intentionality as the room around it.
